Kanon

i saw new "Kanon" series. great anime, great characters and very optimistic and cheerful soundtrack. but finale was unexpected and "mannish".. i mean Western, unrelated with Eastern(China/Japan) mythology and beliefs.

The Place where the Wind Arrives at

The wind beneath my feet; light danced; the amount of miracles that has only accumulated in the ordinary days
If we look up, there are clouds; we’re on the way home that leads into the distance sooner than the us from the days when we were young
Like children who waited for the snow to thaw, we run; shining droplets are hopping around
We’re not even worried about our meeting tomorrow; it’s shining within the seasons

The day when all kinds of wishes throughout the world are fulfilled will come
Little fairies will fly down to us, who have been traveling on a journey forever

The place where we met will also turn green; we’ll entrust the time that flows slowly and look to faraway
The road lined with houses and stores, the us from the days when we were young are still racing
If we notice the sound of the footsteps of the miracle, which resembles the voices of the trees and rustling of the days
That we hear from that promenade, then we can become this strong again

The wind blows toward thoughts that overflow throughout the world
We repeat this and travel on our goodbye-less journey forever

The day when all kinds of wishes throughout the world are fulfilled will come
Little fairies will fly down to us, who have been traveling on a journey forever

"ADV Films announced on September 21, 2007 at the Anime Weekend Atlanta anime convention that they have officially licensed the second Kanon anime series."
Enjoy!

oh.. great poetry! thanks, [info]conduit_cat for pointing me )

Long-Legged Fly

That civilisation may not sink,
Its great battle lost,
Quiet the dog, tether the pony
To a distant post;
Our master Caesar is in the tent
Where the maps are spread,
His eyes fixed upon nothing,
A hand under his head.
Like a long-legged fly upon the stream
His mind moves upon silence.

That the topless towers be burnt
And men recall that face,
Move gently if move you must
In this lonely place.
She thinks, part woman, three parts a child,
That nobody looks; her feet
Practise a tinker shuffle
Picked up on the street.
Like a long-legged fly upon the stream
Her mind moves upon silence.

That girls at puberty may find
The first Adam in their thought,
Shut the door of the Pope's chapel,
Keep those children out.
There on that scaffolding reclines
Michael Angelo.
With no more sound than the mice make
His hand moves to and fro.
Like a long-legged fly upon the stream
His mind moves upon silence.

purr.. i'm happy. i love Yeats poetry.

i like this quote ;)

I have often noticed that we are inclined to endow our friends with the stability of the type
that literary characters acquire in the reader's mind. No matter how many times we reopen
"King Lear", never shall we find the good king banging his tankard in high revelry, all woes
forgotten, at a jolly reunion with all three daughters and their lapdogs. Never will Emma
rally, revived by the sympathetic salts in Flaubert's timely tear. Whatever evolution this or
that popular character has gone through between the book covers, his fate is fixed in our
minds, and, similarly, we expect our friends to follow this or that logical and conventional
pattern we have fixed for them. Thus X will never compose that immortal music that would
clash with the second-rate symphonies he has accustomed us to. Y will never commit
murder. Under no circumstances can Z ever betray us. We have it all arranged in our
minds, and the less often we see a particular person the more satisfying it is to check how
obediently he conforms to our notion of him every time we hear of him. Any deviation in
the fates we have ordained would strike us as not only anomolous but unethical. We would
prefer not to have known at all our neighbor, the retired hot-dog stand operator, if it
turns out he has just produced the greatest book of poetry his age has seen.

To: All European Citizens Who Want to Help Primates

This is Urgent because the Deadline is so close!

The European Commission (EC) is currently revising the law - known as Directive 86/609 - that governs animal experiments across Europe.

86/609 is a hugely powerful Directive that has power of life and death over millions of animals across the continent - setting out minimum standards for how and whether animals can be used in experiments.

A staggering ten million animals are used in outdated and wasteful experiments in European laboratories every year. The Directive is supposed to ensure "the protection of animals used for experimental and other scientific purposes" but the huge numbers show that it's just not doing that.

There is a real possibility that with enough support the EC will ban all primate tests as part of the revised law.

Written Declaration 40/2007 urges the European Parliament to use the revision process of Directive 86/609/EC as an opportunity to establish a timetable for replacing the use of all primates in scientific experiments with alternatives.

The Declaration will fall on 7th September and the signatures of half the MEPs in the Parliament is needed by then.

If you care about animals visit the following website to urge them to sign Written Declaration 40/2007.
http://www.navs.org.uk/take_action/39/0/885/

If you want to do more:-
Please write to the European Commission and ask them to ban primate tests. To help, a prepared letter can be found at
http://www.eceae.org/saveprimates/en/action.html

The address is:-
Mr. Stavros Dimas
Commissioner for Environment
European Commission
B-1049, Brussels, Belgium

Please tell all your colleagues and friends in the UK and Europe about Written Declaration 40/2007.

For information on Alternatives to Animal Testing and why they work visit the Dr Hadwen Trust

It is a rainy day

It is raining cats and dogs - claim old English idiom. And I must agree with it. Autumn has came.
Maybe most wonderful and mystic season. Grey leaves falling from the trees into the ground. And you walk between the trees, touching it and happily crying.

Oh.. I love you, autumn!

"Never Cry Wolf" is mine))

wow!!!! I've bought it!! *jumps-jumps-jumps*
Also I found book named Zoopsychology )

already signed

Alaska’s brutal practice of aerial gunning has already claimed the lives of at least 670 wolves, with state officials even proposing to offer a $150 bounty to increase the killing.

And now even the Greater Yellowstone wolves could face this barbaric killing as Idaho and Wyoming propose aerial gunning programs of their own.

We can stop Alaska’s aerial gunning dead in its tracks -- and prevent  the slaughter from spreading to other states. Sign our Citizen Cosponsor petition urging your Representative to support a bill that will stop Alaska's senseless slaughter.

A conservation champion, Rep. George Miller (CA) will soon introduce legislation to restrict this awful practice. But his bill needs your support to win passage of this wolf-saving measure.

We need you to urge your Representative to become an original cosponsor of Rep. Miller’s legislation! Sign the Citizen Cosponsor petition today!

By signing on, you’ll be joining tens of thousands of Americans who support stopping Alaska's aerial gunning of wolves.

This summer, Defenders Action Fund advocates will hand-deliver the petition to your Member of Congress, sending a powerful message on behalf of our wolves. Your action today can make a powerful difference in stopping Alaska's brutal policy -- and preventing if from spreading elsewhere.

Congress must put an end to barbaric aerial gunning of wolves in Alaska -- and stop it before it spreads to threaten our Yellowstone wolves. You can help ensure the passage of this important legislation -- sign the Citizen Cosponsor petition today!
